Air for life

Membrane pumps

Life in the aquarium is inconceivable without oxygen. Apart from further prerequisites such as heat and light, Schego membrane pumps contribute decisively to an aquarium becoming a habitat. Air is life.

Oxygen is vitally necessary for fish and primitive sea species in the aquarium, for they have no CO2-respiration. Leading experts also recommend oxygen as remedy for the regeneration of diseased fish. Nevertheless, pure oxygen should not be provided as this can act toxically.
Schego offers membrane pumps for aeration or use in filter systems and protein skimmers. This guarantees keeping living beings in their natural environment in the aquarium.

Air for life everywhere

Membrane pumps
for battery connection 12 V DC

Schego pumps for battery connection enable a supply of oxygen where no mains power is available.

These pumps were developed originally for fish and living fodder transport. Fish suffer from lack of oxygen during lengthy transport, especially in the summer months, so that the tanks must be aerated. Connecting to the car battery or to the cigarette lighter suggests itself here.
In recent years power supply by means of solar cells, especially in the leisure area, has become increasingly popular. Schego pumps in conjunction with solar cells are very well suited for this application and have proven themselves.

Controllable and high-powered

Membrane pumps
with special equipment

The task of a membrane pump in the aquarium consists in supplying fishes, primitive sea species and plants with oxygen in 24-hour continuous operation. Schego membrane pumps with special equipment offer additional functions.

The optimal and M2K3 pumps in DELUXE version can be adapted exactly corresponding to the required air volume by means of a potentiometer. A switch enables the pump to be simply switched on and off, if no continuous operation is required.
The pumps WS2 and WS3 have been developed for special applications such as water decorative columns or protein skimmers. They offer a higher pressure (WS2 at least 2 m, WS3 at least 3 m water column).

All Schego membrane pumps work extremely reliably in continuous operation and are characterized by very quiet running, they have little vibration and are stable. Thanks to more than 50 years experience, high-quality and careful processing are a matter of course naturally Made in Germany. Long-life membranes, easily changeable prefilters, housing with suspension are additional plus points with all Schego membrane pumps.
